Jeff Fager, Executive Producer of60 Minutes, to Speak at Sarah Lawrence College

Jeff Fager, Executive Producer of the television news magazine60 Minutes, will speak at Sarah Lawrence College on Tuesday, November 14, following the release of his book,Fifty Years of 60 Minutes: The Inside Story of Television’s Most Influential News Broadcast, released this month.Fager’s talk, which will be open to questions from the audience, and likely to include a discussion of “fake” news and first amendment issues, will be held in the Donnelley Theatre in the Heimbold Visual Arts Center at 5:15 p.m. This event is part of theinaugural yearseries exploring democracy and education.

Fifty Years of 60 Minutes: The Inside Story of Television’s Most Influential News Broadcast, is a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the program’s five-decade history of reporting and news journalism since its debut in 1968. Fager tracks groundbreaking investigative journalism and landmark interviews through the history of60 Minutes, detailing the drama that has made the program’s success possible.
